Do these burrowing rodents make you feel frustrated and powerless to defend against them? Have you ever thought you finally had eliminated a pest only to have it maddeningly turn up again a couple days later or move to a new area? Feel like you´re walking into enemy territory whenever you go out into your yard? If you said "No" to any of these questions, for you, dealing with these tunneling animals must be a new endeavor - You have not learned to "appreciate" the enemy... Yet. Any seasoned veteran of this seemingly endless battle would most certainly say yes, and in the same breath add a few choice expletives. Regardless of whether you´re a new draftee or a veteran: The Crittergetter will help you fight back, reclaim your yard, and win this battle against these incorrigible pests.
Burrowing critters come in many different sizes, from the small vole or chipmunk to the gopher, mole or ground squirrel, and even the sizeable prairie dog, however there is one thing they all have in common: in one way or another, be it by eating all your plants from the roots up (or pulling the entire plant down into their burrow), chewing through your irrigation lines, mounding up your beautiful lawn, undermining the foundation of your home, or destroying your crops, they all are going to wreak havoc with your expensive landscape, your home, and possibly your way of life.
Consider the use and continued use of the Crittergetter as your first victory in a long line of winning battles against these pests: Unfortunately if you are unlucky enough to have these critters once, your chances are very likely you will have them again. By using the Crittergetter, you will be able to drastically reduce their numbers, reclaim your property, and eliminate them any time they reappear.
Be sure to check out our Profiles page for links to very informative research studies on different types of critters conducted by various universities and government agencies for the United States Department of Agriculture. In these documents you will find descriptions of many of the currently used methods detailing how to get rid of gophers, moles, voles, and many of the other burrowing animal types. Nearly all of the abatement products available today are tested and reviewed in these studies. Information regarding damage prevention, suggested control methods, and test findings of these control methods can also be found in these documents.
One common thread found in the majority of the studies linked on our Profiles page, is the favorable result from the use of a fumigant as an abatement technique. The problem with fumigants or "gassers" is they cannot deliver enough gas to the burrow in a short period of time. Due to the slow moving nature of these fumigants, most of the burrowing rodents will simply wall up the burrow to stop the gas, move to another area of the burrow, and return at some point later when the gas has dissipated and reclaim the section it had barricaded. By delivering exhaust via the Crittergetter, you will use the propulsion of your vehicles exhaust system to introduce a considerably higher, faster, and burrow-end reaching volume of deadly carbon monoxide gas that the burrowing critter will neither be able to hide from nor have the time to put up a defensive wall against.
In the research study on gopher control conducted by the University of Nebraska (Profiles page - Gophers) it was determined that engine exhaust was 90% effective in gopher abatement. We replaced standard tubing, most of which melts at a low temperature, with heavy duty heat resistant tubing and increased the recommended time of application from three minutes to ten to fifteen minutes or more. The resulting increase in volume and projection of exhaust into the burrow system removed the problems found with other fumigants, making the Crittergetter much more effective against other types of burrowing rodents with more elaborate or extensive tunnel systems. In short, the Crittergetter will fumigate the entire burrow, not just a tiny section, as other fumigant products will. Your critter will not have the time or anyplace to hide.
These animals are smart; they learn to overcome and outmaneuver many of the methods we try to snare them with. They learn to avoid & overcome our traps, they hide & barricade themselves away from danger, they adapt to noise, and they learn to shun baits & poisons. Do not give your enemy the opportunity to be intelligent. Do not show your enemy any mercy, because it will not show you any. Use of the Crittergetter is quick and deadly effective. And most importantly, it works.
We believe our product is the most effective available − The logic and physics behind it work. If you fill an enclosed space with a quick moving poisonous gas, it kills − it kills quickly − And this, is exactly what anyone with any sort of burrowing critter problem is desperately trying to accomplish.
